Black Homeowners Guide To Choosing The Best Presidential Candidate
    by Roy Primm

With the Presidential elections approaching fast, it's time to research the best Presidential candidate to lead us for the next 4 years. Thanks to the internet we can now do it better and easier than ever before.

As a Black homeowner it's even more important that you choose the Presidential candidate with the best affordable housing plan. In addition, consider the candidate who has the best plan to lift us out of this mortgage mess.

As with most problems facing this nation, African American homeowners continue to suffer the most from this housing slump as well.

That's why it's important for you to listen and look closely at who has the best plan - and who neglects to reveal an affordable housing plan. Both are important because as the housing market goes ... so goes the economy. And that economy includes jobs, government programs, services and medical care.

The purpose of this article is not to tell you who to vote for, but what to look for when it comes to candidates to consider. The candidate that has the best affordable housing plan should seriously be considered to lead the country.

Foreclosures continue to rise each day across the country while banks scratch their heads on how to best handle this problem.

You should look closely at who has the best plan as well as track record on dealing with this problem.

Of course as any Presidential campaign goes everyone will have the perfect plan to solve the problem, but not everyone will have a proven track record on dealing with the problem.

Another point to consider is how urgent solving this problem grows each day. When people lose there homes it's like a domino affect. Consider this example.

    1. Home foreclosure

    2. Equals No tax revenue

    3. Equals Less Government services for the local area.

    4. Equals Lower quality of Government services for the local area such as schools, medical services, fire and police services and equipment, etc.

    5. Equals Property values in the location of the foreclosure declining .09 according to Federal housing stats.

    ... and more!

This is just a small sample of what immediately happens when a home goes into foreclosure.

Now multiply that number by the thousands of foreclosed homes in most counties of this country and you can see the scope of the problem. Add to that the millions of additional home loans set to adjust over the next 2 years.

And of course when people don't buy homes they don't buy furniture, carpeting, paint, landscaping and a host of other products.

    Foreclosures Affect on Renters

With foreclosures rising pressure is beginning to spread to people looking for affordable places to rent. But with the numbers of former homeowners now turned into renters many places have seen rental rates rising steadily.

Many experts predict rental rates will soon be out of the reach of more and more people.

Hopefully this information will give you the motivation to vote for the candidate who has the best plan and track record to get us out of this housing slump as fast as possible.

    Conclusion

As with many problems Black homeowners continue to suffer the most from this housing slump. So make it a point to listen and look closely at who has the best plan and who neglects to reveal a plan. Both are important because as the housing market goes ... so goes the economy.
